The largest casual games industry conference, Casual Connect Seattle, took place July 20-22, 2010 in my hometown. After so many conferences in Europe and out of state, it is nice to have one in Seattle! It is still a lot of work, but sans the travel time.

This year’s event was a productive mix of business meetings, a excellent speaker sessions and special events. GameHouse held the 2nd Annual Great Game Awards at EMP and the Science Fiction Museum. We got to hang out with the Storm Troopers at the end of the fancy event. : ) (more…)

October 2009 – this seems like a good place to start my retro-active blogging.

I was 10 months into my role in the Casual Games space with GameHouse (what a cool job!). Prior to joining GameHouse/Real Networks, I spent 7 years at a wonderful Seattle PR agency called Richmond Public Relations. At RPR I managed PR campaigns specializing in consumer products and travel. One of my favorite accounts was Scene It? The DVD Game.

I loved working with growing companies and Screenlife was a perfect example of a game company that started small and grew, and grew. I worked with the founder to secure this Portrait article in the Seattle Times in 2006.
