Just a couple of weeks after being back from vacation in Germany, I was off to Amsterdam, Eindhoven, and Kyiv again. The trip was for office visits and Casual Connect Kyiv 2010.

With the Berlin Marathon out of the way, the rest of the trip was quite relaxing. : ) After Berlin, we went to Goettingen, where my boyfriend grew up and where his sister’s family lives. We were able to stay in the newly renovated downstairs flat at his sister’s house. Goettingen is known for its [...]

On September 24, I was off to Germany again. This time, the trip was for vacation with my German boyfriend. He has run 35 marathons and signed us up for the 2010 Real Berlin Marathon. I have never wanted to run a full marathon, but I figured that I should at least give it a [...]

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) this year. The popular Seattle conference sold out quickly, yet again. The coming of PAX 2010 reminded me of our team visit to PAX 2009 – and some of the fun photos we had taken at the Expo! : )

I ran my first-ever trail run on August 7, 2010: The Grand Ridge Trail Run half marathon! It took me an hour more than my usual half marathon time. The terrain was very steep and hilly – and dirty. I was probably one of the slowest people (not having trained for a trail run!) at [...]

The largest casual games industry conference, Casual Connect Seattle, took place July 20-22, 2010 in my hometown. After so many conferences in Europe and out of state, it is nice to have one in Seattle! It is still a lot of work, but sans the travel time. This year’s event was a productive mix of business [...]

On June 26, I completed my 4th half marathon: Rock n Roll Seattle Half Marathon. This was my second time running the event. This time, I participated with Tiffany, Ryan, and Olaf (full marathon). I came in at a time of 2:01:54. Last year, I ran the event with my awesome buddy Eric (see photo). It’s [...]

The weekend of June 12, 2010, I was lucky to join my friend Katie on another visit to her family’s vacation property on Galiano Island, in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia. On one of my visits, we saw orca whales, bald eagles, and sea lions from the front yard!
