Guess where I was on December 3-7, 2009? I was back in Kyiv, Ukraine by way of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport! I traveled alone this time, to attend the Flash games conference, Flash GAMM Kyiv. Having been to Kyiv before, it was nice to know what to expect at the airport/customs.
Flash GAMM focuses on web games and, again, takes advantage of the numerous game developers in Eastern Europe. Many game developers are looking at the online games space as a new venue for business and as an opportunity to diversify from simply offering download games. We offer Flash games on the GameHouse Online Games section of our site. These games are traditionally free to the player, but supported by in-game advertising. One of my favorite finds during the conference was the web game called “Mahjongg Dimensions Deluxe” from Arkadium.
I was fortunate to stay at the conference hotel, Lybid Hotel. The folks from Absolutist, who hosted the event, took excellent care of me. Kseniya met me at the airport and Tatyana made sure I was well taken care of during my visit.
